THE INDEPENDENT GAMING CHARTS
FAQ
Is the information on TIGCharts accurate?
Ironically, no. We get our information from top 10s from various portals. These lists do not always show the most popular games, as those lists are a well known marketing tool to get certain games more attention.

If the information is not accurate, why bother?
The companys that create top 10 lists know quite good what will sell. They are living from it, thus trying to make the top 10 as profitable as possible. So even though we don't know for 100% sure, the popularity of those games (and our lists) become quite accurate.

How is the popularity score of a game measured?
The popularity score is based on top 10 positions on portals that sell these games. If a game is number 1, it will receive 10 points. If a game is number 7, it will receive 4 points, etc. Those points are added and result in the score that you see on this site.

What about the popularity score of developers?
The scores of all games made by a particular developer are added, which result in the developer's popularity score.

I am a developer and don't see my information on this site, what should I do?
